Written translation is one of the bureau’s two main formats, together with interpreting. It covers personal, business and technical texts, as well as material for notarial certification and an apostille.

Simultaneous interpreting

Used during negotiations and conferences. The interpreter has to convey the meaning quickly and also retain what has been heard. Several simultaneous interpreters usually work together, as a rule two or three people, and they relieve one another.

Consecutive interpreting

Suitable for a seminar, briefing, speech, presentation, round table, exhibition, business negotiations, including by telephone, court hearings and equipment setup.

Support for business negotiations

We select an interpreter for business meetings. Support for negotiations abroad is also possible, so that language assistance is available on the spot.

Commissioning

Technical interpreters convey the content of manuals and information from a foreign specialist. This helps with commissioning and with understanding how to operate the equipment, so as to reduce the risk of breakdown and of questions about the warranty.

Guide-interpreters

Language support for excursions, walks around the city, and meeting and seeing off guests at the airport. The previous page stated that the guide-interpreter holds a special licence and state accreditation. Those permissions have to be confirmed before an order is placed: the current material contains no separate document that proves them.

Online interpreting for conferences and webinars

Interpreting for an online event: training, a broadcast, business negotiations or a presentation. People can take part without leaving their city or country.

Translating the operating manuals makes commissioning easier and helps people understand how to use the equipment without damaging it or raising questions about the warranty.

Assessing equipment

A technical translation is needed in order to understand how suitable the equipment on offer is for production.

Customs clearance

We translate the accompanying papers: safety data sheets, product descriptions and other documents for customs clearance of a shipment.

Urgent repair or start-up

We prepare urgent translations of technical documents when equipment has to be put into operation. The deadline is agreed separately. Starting the equipment does not depend on the translation alone.

Operating imported equipment

Clients come to the bureau when a manufacturer’s manual has been translated into Russian inaccurately. Translators with technical training convey the particular points of operating the equipment.

Project work

An accurate translation reduces the risk of delay in handing over a project, delivering products and incurring extra costs under a contract. It does not replace the parties’ contractual obligations themselves.

Where needed, we send an interpreter to the site for spoken work during commissioning or repair.

The text

The content of the pages is the main part of a website and of its promotion. The bureau translates these texts.

Elements of a website

Not only the main texts are translated, but also blocks of pages, menus and other elements. Wording placed in images can be translated as well. For video, a voice-over or subtitles are possible.

Background information

The visible part of a website is not the whole of it. The internal part contains meta tags, short descriptions and page titles.

Updating the content

If the content of a website changes, translation of the new material into the required languages can be agreed, so that the language versions stay up to date.

Translation of the strings a user of the program sees: screen names, labels and help text.

If new strings appear in the program, their translation can be agreed separately. The automatic updating described for websites was not, in the source text, stated separately for software.

Besides written translation and interpreting, the bureau translates audio files from recordings. This work became widely needed together with internet communication and information technology.
